My
Approach
"Business
is all about Relationships;
Relationships determine Business Outcomes"
My approach is to see your business through your eyes. Accordingly, I adopt a business management perspective to eBusiness. Because business relationships (with prospects, customers, partners, etc.) are increasingly becoming the dominant factor in business, I place them at the center of my approach. From that center I work out to target your desired business outcomes (e.g., increased profitability, stable competitive advantages, positioning for new opportunities).
Business Relationships are King! -- My approach is biased towards the use of eBusiness to support the dynamics of business relationships. From a 'relationships' point-of-view I focus on the impact of eBusiness on each of the important dimensions of your business (i.e., marketing, operations, corporate, human resources, and innovation). This bias enables me to propose a 'relationships'-support infrastructure with an architecture that reflects the true transactional nature of your business. This approach enables an eBusiness component to be added incrementally to your business model in order to realise early payoffs. Furthermore, it ensures a direct relevance to your desired business outcomes.
Business Outcomes Rule! -- I focus squarely on business outcomes and achieving them within your current business constraints. I believe that organisations make costly mistakes when they embark on projects that are not tightly related to business outcomes. Accordingly, I employ a measured approach to applying eBusiness to your business. I hold up the pre-identified business outcomes as our yardsticks in formulating competing plans and strategies and in designing each step in the pathway to implementation. Everything is directly measured against the desired business outcomes to ensure that the outcomes are achieved.
